Via Center School Program
Via Center serves and provides educational and behavioral intervention for a wide range of students with intensive needs. Our students are provided with a highly structured, individualized, behavioral-based program, offered in the context of a warm and family-like environment. All core academics are tailored to the individual needs of each student using a wide array of research-supported strategies such as ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) and TEACHH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children).
State standard subjects, science, history, and social studies are embedded into weekly thematic units. To support independent living and community skills we offer times for students to practice skills they will need in the future. all students rotate through "Chores" that include cleaning, vacuuming, personal hygiene, cooking, and grocery shopping.
